1. Who we are

TippingEdge ("we", "us", "our") operates the website tippingedge.com.au, which publishes AI-powered NRL match predictions, betting analysis, and free tools. We are an Australian sole-trader operation. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal information you share with us.

2. What information we collect

We collect the minimum information needed to run the site and provide the service you've asked for.

Information you give us directly

• Email address — when you sign up to our weekly SGM picks newsletter via the calculator opt-in form.
• Name, email address, and message content — when you submit our contact form.

Information collected automatically

• IP address — captured against opt-ins and contact form submissions for anti-spam and rate-limiting (5 subscribe attempts per hour per IP, 3 contact submissions per hour per IP).
• Browser user-agent string — captured against opt-ins for the same anti-abuse reason.
• Usage data via Google Analytics 4 — pages viewed, approximate location (city-level), device type, referring source, time on page. GA4 anonymises IP addresses by default.
• Server logs — our web host (VentraIP) and CDN (Cloudflare) keep standard access logs that include IP, timestamp, requested URL, and user-agent for security and operational purposes.

• To send you the weekly newsletter you opted in to receive, including the double opt-in confirmation email and our weekly +EV SGM picks broadcast.
• To reply to your contact form submission or follow up on tip suggestions, corrections, or partnership enquiries.
• To prevent abuse — the IP and user-agent data lets us rate-limit and block automated spam against our forms.
• To measure traffic patterns in aggregate so we can improve content and prioritise the pages people actually use.
• To comply with Australian law if we receive a lawful request for information (court order, subpoena, etc.).

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for targeted advertising profiles or behavioural advertising networks.

tippingedge.com.au uses the following categories of cookies:

• Essential — WordPress session cookies for logged-in users, and a small tippingedge_sgc_v1 entry in browser localStorage that remembers your SGM calculator inputs between visits (purely client-side, never sent to our server).
• Analytics — Google Analytics 4 sets _ga and _ga_* cookies to measure aggregate site usage. You can opt out by installing the GA opt-out browser add-on or by enabling Do Not Track in your browser.
• Performance — LiteSpeed Cache and Cloudflare may set short-lived cookies to manage cached page delivery.

We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, or fingerprinting libraries. We do not currently show a cookie consent banner because we do not deploy non-essential cookies that target individuals.

Under the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct information that is inaccurate or out of date.
• Request deletion of your information (we'll delete unless we are legally required to keep it).
• Withdraw consent for marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or by emailing us directly.
• Complain about how we handle your data. You can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

8. How we protect your data

• The entire site runs over HTTPS (TLS encryption via Cloudflare and Let's Encrypt).
• WordPress admin access is restricted to the site owner with a strong password and Application Passwords for API access.
• Subscriber and contact data lives in a hosted Australian database (VentraIP) with daily backups.
• We do not store payment card information. We do not process payments on tippingedge.com.au.

No system is perfectly secure. If a data breach occurs that materially affects your personal information, we will notify you as soon as practicable and notify the OAIC under the Notifiable Data Breach scheme where applicable.
